Meet the Team

Kim, Front Desk Receptionist

Our receptionist, Kim, attended Ohio University and Ohio State
University, and formerly held an Ohio Insurance Life and Health license
for 10 years. After 15 years of working in the banking and insurance
industries, Kim decided it was time for a change. She overcame her
lifelong fear of dentists by going to work for one, and now she spends
her days expertly running the office -  answering phones, making
appointments, handling insurance billing and organizing patient files.

"I enjoy serving others, and I think my own past fears of the dentist help
me to be compassionate for patients who come in and are obviously
nervous!" Kim says. A resident of Westerville for over 30 years, Kim
spends time with her husband providing premarital counseling to young couples
and serving at the local food pantry. They are both proud of their three grown children
(a first grade teacher, a business marketing professional, and a competitive dancer). When she's not keeping the office on the straight and narrow, Kim loves entertaining and hosting family and friends for dinner and other social events.

Faith, Front Desk/Dental Assistant

Faith comes to us with a long history of serving others. After several years as a Nurse’s Aid she decided it was time for a change and she pursued a degree in Dental assisting. Her love for people makes her perfect for the Front Desk and as a Dental Assistant.
Faith says, "I love people especially those with fear or special needs. My brother has special needs and I am particularly compassionate about making sure they have the extra special attention they deserve."
Faith lives with her husband Tim and their fury baby Oliver! They enjoy camping, hiking, and spending time in Canada whenever possible.

Whitney, Dental Assistant

Dental Assistant Whitney graduated from Ohio Business College, and subsequently decided to pursue a career in the dental field, saying everything about the industry has always fascinated her. She takes pride in providing excellence in customer care, assisting the dentist by taking x-rays, creating impressions of teeth, charting and completing other tasks as needed.

“I love taking care of patients and making sure they feel comfortable,” Whitney says, adding that she enjoys the atmosphere of her chosen workplace, where she gets to meet new people regularly and everyone is always happy to see her. Originally from Logan, Ohio, Whitney spent time in Hocking Hills and just recently moved to New Albany. She loves going home to family. When she’s not helping patients, Whitney spends her time hanging with friends, enjoying the outdoors, crafts, and Pinterest.

Whitney, Registered Dental Hygienist

For Dental Hygienist Whitney, it’s all about education. Whitney majored in Dental Hygiene, achieving a Bachelor of Science and minoring in Human Development and Family Science. She teaches patients about oral health, discussing their current status as well as potential disease risks, prevention, and daily at-home care. A Weserville, OH resident, Whitney has been in the profession for 3 years, and is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association.

“I love people, and I want to help them stay healthy,” says Whitney, adding, “Going to the dentist can be scary and uncomfortable. If I can help make each experience comfortable and fear free, they won’t have to be anxious about every visit.” When she’s not treating patients just like beloved family members, Whitney lives an active life; she enjoys Jazzercise, snowboarding, rollerblading and biking – and just got married to her awesome husband this spring.

Lisa, Registered Dental Hygienist

Dental Hygienist Lisa Toterhi earned an Associates in Applied Science from Columbus State. When she was laid off from a previous job, she decided it was time to switch careers, and (happily for our practice!) ended up in the dental field. Formerly from McComb, OH, Lisa now lives in Reynoldsburg, OH.

“This job is perfect for my outside the office life, which includes raising a family,” says Lisa. “I really enjoy the people I work with, and the hours and schedule are ideal for me.” When she’s not attending to patients and education them about oral hygiene, Lisa enjoys running and spending time with her family – her husband T.J.; the couple’s three kids, Sofia (8), Toryn (5), and Kierian (3); and their two dogs, Clyde (a Great Dane) and Leia (a Boxer.)

Kara, Registered Dental Hygienist

Kara earned her RDH and Associates in Applied Science from Columbus State. She plans to soon continue her degree at the Ohio State University with only a few classes left to achieve her Bachelor's Degree. Kara is originally from Lima, OH and now resides in Grandview Heights with her two roommates and four-legged friend, Avatar. Kara states, “I had such a hard time figuring out what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, until my mother suggested Dental Hygiene. Once I began clinical work, I just knew this was my calling." Kara loves meeting new people and establishing long-lasting relationships with her patients. Outside of the office, Kara enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, playing with her dog Avatar, going to the gym, and cooking.

Kelli, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Kelli started her dental career in high school at the Career Center then went on to complete her training at Sinclair College. She has an expanded function decree which qualifies her to do fillings. She also assists the dentist in various dental procedures, such as taking x-rays, impressions and charting. Her gentle nature makes patients feel more comfortable.

“I have a very strong passion for what I do and I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything different,” says Kelli. “I love to see the transformation in a patient’s confidence when they get a new smile.” When Kelli is not providing care for patients she enjoys decorating her new house, reading and seeing movies. Kelli has 2 four legged children Ellie and Leela. Kelli lives in Lancaster and has been in the dental field for 5 years.
